If motherhood is a poem, I’ll write as one verse;
To know what this love is, you have to feel it first.
If motherhood is a song, I’ll sing it to you;
My love for you is as pure as it is true.
I love you, my dear;
That is truer than true.
As wide as the ocean,
As deep as it is blue.
I’ll hug you in the mornings;
I’ll rock you to sleep.
Your love I will cherish;
My heart you will keep.
Sing with the melody,
The words in the poem;
My love is a story;
Your heart is my home.
