Sharing a great dessert is a joy, and Eileen’s Special Cheesecake in NYC, voted #1 cheesecake in America, is made with love. When the late Eileen Avezzano prepared the family recipe handed down from her mother, the owner of a local deli declared it the best cheesecake he ever had. His next question was, “how many can you make?”

A Family-Owned Business
The business began in 1974 as a wholesale bakery, and word spread. Soon, Eileen’s Special Cheesecake took over a space in Manhattan that was formerly a pizza shop, including pizza ovens, where the bakery still stands today in SoHo. They started selling the cheesecake through an order window, and business continued to grow to what it is today.

Today, Eileen’s daughters, sisters Holly Maloney and Bonnie Ponte, run the family business, and make their award-winning cheesecakes by hand, and ship them locally and nationwide. The cakes ship via Priority Overnight to ensure maximum freshness and come packed with ice.
