Where do you live in Palm Beach County?

I live in Jupiter! I absolutely love it!

How long have you lived here?

I have lived in Palm Beach County since 2010.

What do you love about living in Palm Beach County?

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and have a strong appreciation for the South Florida weather.  I love the ability to spend time outdoors year-round.  I also love the food here.  Compared to the Midwest, we have so many different options.

Do you have children (or fur children)?

I have two kids and one fur child.

If so, what are their names and ages?

Kennedy is 6 years old going on 13!  Anderson will be 3 in May.  Our Cockapoo, Kai is 8.

What is your job description?

I am the Community & Outreach Liaison for Futures Recovery Healthcare.  My role is to be a resource for anyone who is struggling with a mental health or substance use disorder.  I have directly helped around 2,000 individuals and families over the last decade.  Whether it’s receiving treatment at Futures, another program locally or nationally, recommending a therapist, an interventionist, helping them find 12-step meetings- it’s my job to assess the situation and make recommendations based on what will be most beneficial for all involved.  In order to be a helpful resource, I have to put myself out there in the community.  I have a major passion for people and I love to build relationships and learn about others.  I feel truly blessed to have a job that allows me to meet so many new people!

Tell us a little bit about your organization and its mission:

Futures is a DCF state-licensed, Joint Commission accredited and ACHA licensed behavioral healthcare provider located in Tequesta.  Futures treats substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and primary mental health disorders using an evidence-based and holistic approach.  We offer a medical detoxification and residential program for substance use and co-occurring disorders, a residential program for individuals struggling with their mental health, the Orenda concierge wellness program, the Rise experiential and adventure-based program, and intensive outpatient, outpatient, and telehealth services.  We also provide support for families and alumni. Our mission is to be a preferred and trusted treatment provider known by prospective clients and referring professionals.  I am incredibly proud of the care that we provide and can honestly say, in the five years that I’ve been at Futures, I have come across very few clients and families who do not rave about their experience post-treatment.  Our goal is to ignite the passion for recovery and wellness in the people that we treat.  It is extremely motivating to know that we achieve that goal often.

What is your favorite activity to do in Palm Beach?

My family and I really enjoy boating.  We have a 19-foot Sea Ray that we take out and explore all of the different waterways and islands.  Our best times and memories made are always out on the water.
