Tracie’s Music Together

Tracie’s Music Together is a mommy-and-me activity and a music education program for children from birth through age five. They offer classes in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, Tequesta and Stuart.

Music Together is a movement and music program that began in 1987 and is now offered in 40 countries worldwide. It is based on current research in early childhood development and introduces children to the magic of music. Each class is 45 minutes long and is designed for a caregiver and child to participate together.

Miss Tracie and her instructors begin each class with a welcome song, time for the children to play with instruments, and what follows is a dynamic, fun class that gets kids and parents alike dancing, singing, and moving!

I first attended a Music Together class when my oldest son was about six months old. I took the babies only class, which was a great option for me since my son was not yet crawling or walking. It was fun to meet other moms and spend an hour singing to my baby!

When you register for a class, you receive an illustrated book of songs, and access to all of the music that you hear in class and videos. Miss Tracie encouraged the moms to play the music for our babies, at home or while riding in the car, and it was amazing to see them become familiar with the music. I still find myself singing songs from our Music Together days to my children, and my oldest son is now nine years old!

Babies are welcome in all Music Together classes, and the mixed age classes range from ages 0-5. We transitioned to the mixed age music class when my son turned one and started walking, and he enjoyed shaking maracas, banging drums, and singing and dancing along to the music! You don’t have to be musically inclined to take a class, and it is fun to dance and sing, and watch our children enjoying themselves, whether you’re a singer or musician yourself or not.

This amazing program instills a love of music in very young children, which is such a natural and fun experience. Children love music, and it is so much fun to do something with our kids that they love, while we enjoy it too! Miss Tracie’s summer class schedule is available now, and you can find more information on her website and Facebook page!
