Love Where you Live: West Lake Worth

0

I am grateful to live in Palm Beach County! I would like to share with you a few of my favorite places in Lake Worth and it’s bordering cities. I have recently moved here and I find new fun places every day to visit in my daily life routines and with my family for fun!

  1. Hoffman’s Chocolate factory (Lake Worth Road, Greenacres, FL)

When I first drove past this place I thought for sure Anna from Frozen lived there!  It looks like a super cute cottage from the road, and once inside the intoxicating smell of delicious chocolate fills the air. They offer chocolate factory tours and fun chocolate making classes.  Hoffman’s Chocolate factory hosts amazing birthday parties for kids. According to some, they put on the best Christmas display and event in December. There is also an ice skating rink!

2. Whole Foods (441/Wellington)

Excellent customer service here in all Departments and this location has the best baristas at the cafe! If you have not yet had the pleasure of sipping one of their Allegro teas or sampling one of their daily special coffee drinks or other concoctions then you are missing out.

3. Adrenaline (Lake Worth)

If you have kids to entertain, search no further! There are many different passes you can purchase at great prices, and they have special event prices all the time. I visited on a weekday early afternoon and it was $10 for my child under 6 to play. Nights and weekends have fun blacklight times and there’s plenty of comfy couches for the parents to sit on to chat and watch the kids. This place is big enough for the kids to play in a few different areas and not too overwhelming to keep an eye on them.

4. Skate Zone (Lake Worth)

I love living near this awesome ice rink. It just completed major renovations, offering 3 ice rinks now. Where else can a momma burn crazy calories in Florida while staying cool and having fun?! I sometimes visit here without the kids to skate myself. It’s a great place to set the tone for the winter season and have fun. Visit one of their cafes for a warm hot chocolate post skate. At holiday time last year, my kids got a sleigh ride on the ice and experienced an indoor snowfall while sipping hot chocolates!

5. Body Details (Wellington)

Body Details is the largest laser chain in South Florida for a reason. I go to their Wellington location for laser facials (finished my laser hair removal treatments years ago and haven’t shaved since). Their laser hair removal comes with a free Lifetime Guarantee and for laser facials, they use the Pico Way, which is the most powerful laser on the market for skin rejuvenation.

6. Trader Joe’s (Wellington)

I love shopping here with my kids. They are excited to push the tiny shopping cart, visit the coloring page station and get their lollipop and stickers at the register (for finding the hidden horse stuffed animal mascot for this store.) I have so many favorite items I specifically come here for! My kids love the mini cucumbers, fresh berries, cotton candy grapes and frozen chocolate-covered strawberries. I love their Body Butter that has coconut oil and Shea butter, scent and some ingredients vary by season. I just finished the pumpkin scented one and just purchased a vanilla Body Butter to try. Oh, I tasted the most interesting sample there last week, chips that taste like stuffing dipped in a cranberry sauce!

7. Peter Piper Pizza (Greenacres)

$20 goes a long way here to entertain the kids! It has the perfect size game room and prize area that kids love and there’s pizza! I like that the game area is not overwhelming to keep track of them. For example, I Love Boomers in Boca, but I have so much anxiety trying to watch my small kids in that super large space that they run all over in! (I keep that for when my husband comes along with us!) Oh and there’s another plus to Peter Piper, there’s a drive-thru Starbucks in the parking lot, so you can get a coffee or tea for yourself on the way!

8. Orangetheory (441/Wellington)

I love this Location! Amazing equipment and coaches and it’s right next to Whole Foods (I listed above) to grab a post work out healthy snack.

9. The Brooklyn Water Bagel Company (Lake Worth)

One word, Cubsta! Meet the amazing iced coffee that will not dilute. You know when you have to stop drinking your iced coffee while doing things, well when you return, it will taste delicious still because their Cubsta iced coffee has frozen coffee as their iced cubes! Oh and the bagels do pretty much taste like a NY bagel only contested in my opinion by Way Beyond Bagels in Delray Beach. But my fave bagel will always be from Long Island, (24 hour Bagel will forever have a special place in my heart for bagels!)

11. El Rey Del Taco Truck (Lake Worth)

This taco truck might not look like much at first glance, but there you will find the most amazing tacos ever! I learned about this diamond in the rough place through a die hard taco fan friend. Truly authentic deliciousness you’d have to otherwise visit the west coast for.

12. Whit’s Frozen Custard (Wellington or Boca)

Delicious sweet treats and it’s always fun to find out the flavor of the day.

I’m so thankful for many things, one of which is to live in Palm Beach! Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season ❤️
