Voted one of the top ten Safari Parks in the Country by USA Today for the seventh year in a row, Lion Country Safari is a perfect destination to add to your summer bucket list!
Drive Through Safari
While driving through a four-mile trek into multiple habitats, visitors get a chance to see animals including Aldabra tortoises like one of the oldest animal residents, who is estimated to be in his mid-nineties and has been at the park since 1969.
During the drive, simply enjoy the view or listen to the audio tour available that narrates which animals are in each section of the safari. Spot ostriches, alpaca, kudu, and more, including zebra, rhinoceroses, and lions. The audio tour includes animal anecdotes, including a tale about a playful animal who grabbed his keeper’s hat and ran off with it.
Open since 1967, the park has multiple successful animal herds, including zebra and rhinoceros. This March, Lion Country Safari welcomed baby rhinoceros Orion.
