#EndDiaperNeed

Each year, Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies of Palm Beach County joins the National Diaper Bank Network (NDBN) in recognizing Diaper Need Awareness Week. This year’s week of education, awareness and advocacy begins Saturday, September 24th and runs through Sunday, October 2nd.

What is Diaper Need?

Diaper need is the inability to access an adequate supply of diapers. In the United States, one in three families face diaper need. This leaves babies exposed to more potential health risks and less likely to be accepted to daycares, leaving parents unable to attend work.

Support for Families with Diaper Need

Through HMHBs Basics4Babies Emergency Pantry for Infants, they provide diapers, formula and baby food to families who face financial hardship, giving them a resource they can rely on to keep their babies clean, dry, and fed.

In 2022 thus far, the HMHB pantry has supported more than 8,000 children ages 0-3 with more than 260,000 diapers. Our Basics4Babies pantry has provided much needed baby basics to families across Palm Beach County thanks to the immense generosity of foundations, corporations and individuals across our community.

How YOU Can Get Involved

Community effort is needed to ensure that all babies have access to clean diapers and other basic necessities required for them to thrive and reach their full potential.

No matter how much time you have to dedicate to supporting diaper need, there are ways to get involved!

Host a Diaper Drive

Collect diapers with colleagues, community groups, neighbors or friends and family. Once you collect your diapers, contact the HMHB office at (561) 665-4500 to set up time to drop off the items for distribution!

Share the Stats

Raising awareness is an important step to #EndDiaperNeed. Throughout Diaper Need Awareness Week, HMHB will be sharing information through their social media channels that you can share with your network.
